DTP Ministries - Youth Ministry (5th grade - Sr. High) |

Who are we?
We are a youth ministry that is made up of all types of students from grades 6th-12th. We are students from all over southern Illinois. Some of us have been together for a long time and others have only been with us a few weeks. We love to spend time together learning about God and having a great time while doing it. We are a youth group that is dedicated to relationships! We would love to have you come and see what we are all about in person as well! We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-7:30pm and on Sundays we have Sunday school from 9am-9:30am and we also meet in the evening from 6pm-7pm. We look forward to having you visit. |

S.A.F.E. Groups |

Many churches have small group ministries and Marion First Church of God is no exception. We call our small groups S.A.F.E. groups, which stands for 'Spiritual, Affirming, Friendly, Encouragement. Start building relationships at Marion Church with a S.A.F.E. group of people who help each other live out their faith. These groups meet in homes, and are centered on learning and discussing the Word of God together. |

Worship Ministry |

Our church has always had a great musical heritage. A tradition was started in the Block Chapel Church of God many years ago, and it is carried out even today. Marion First Church of God has always had a singing heart and has been noted as such throughout Southern Illinois. We are blessed to have many talented singers and musicians and we would love for you to get involved.Worship Choir – Our Worship Choir has the wonderful opportunity to assist in leading our church in worship. No prior knowledge or experience is required. Just bring your love for music and a desire to glorify God! Praise Team – Assists the Worship Pastor during corporate worship. Special Singing – Our church has been blessed with many talented singers and we would love to have you take part in this ministry. Worship Band – We are always seeking to involve those who have developed instrumental abilities. Technical Ministries Team – Sound Control & Video Presentations. |

KidZone - Children's Ministry (4 yrs. – 5th Grade) |

At Kid Zone we strive to teach our kids ages 4yrs - 5th grade how to "live out loud". We accomplish this by teaching them the skills to study their Bible, the doctrine of the church, the social skills to help them in school and life, all while keeping them active physically though games and activities.

The Amazing Grace Race:
On your mark...get set...GO! Tie your shoe strings and begin your race with this high-energy kid's musical, The Amazing Grace Race , created by Celeste Clydesdale. These young racers are learning that the secret to running life's grace race is to follow in His steps but in their shoes. When facing tough stretches through places like the Valley of Despair and Badlands Bog, these kids learn the value of love, forgiveness, perseverance, and the value of working as a team. Running with faith, they look to the great cloud of witnesses cheering them on and consider the signs they are leaving for those who will come behind. Most importantly, they run so as to cross the finish line and hear Jesus say, "Well done!" |

Nursery |

We know how important it is to care for our little attenders in our nursery ministry. We go to great lengths to keep your child happy, healthy and safe while you attend worship services. Our staff is highly trained and you can rest assured that you precious youngsters are well taken care of. We provide nursery services for for the following times:
Ages: 0 - 2 years
Sundays for AM & PM Services
Wednesdays for PM Services and special events

Our outreach ministry is called A.C.T.S. or as we like to call it Acknowledging Christ Through Service. A.C.T.S. is a great way for you to get involved in serving your community and seeing God's hope and healing through the ministry of service.

*Prepare meals for bereaved families.
*Send flowers to funeral homes for those families who've experienced a loss.
*Send cards & flowers to those members who are hospitalized.
*Maintain and manage church food pantry.
*Preparation for all communion and foot washing services for the church throughout the year. |

Visitation Team |
|
Card Ministry - Sending get well, sympathy, welcome, and encouragement cards to our congregation.
Visitation - Follow up on all sick and absent members, as well as visitors by visiting them in their home.
Cookie Ministry - Deliver cookies to our first-time visitors.

Prayer Team |
|
Prayer for the Lost - 5:00 PM on Sunday Evenings.
Sunday Mornings - 8:30 AM on a rotating basis. |
