OUR CHURCH HISTORY

In 1915, a tent meeting was held on the southeast corner of North Fair and East Boulevard. Rev. Sarah Massey
was preaching and there were 20 conversions. It was during this meeting, and shortly afterward, that visions
of a church began to materialize, and God placed the burden upon some Saints.

In 1918, property on the corner of North Fair and East McKinley and blocks were donated by Bro. Ozment. Sis. Sarah Massey was called to be the first pastor. The Block Chapel Church of God was built by men in the church. The ladies in the church also made quilts and apple butter to pay for the materials.
